Small Engine Mechanic

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Small Engine Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing company vehicles, trailers, and equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Small Engine Mechanic Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $20.00 to $24.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm )

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair company trucks, trailers, and construction equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, brake service, tire repairs, and fluid checks.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain and repair small engines such as generators, compressors, saws, and other jobsite equipment.
• Complete preventative maintenance inspections and identify potential issues before failures occur.
• Keep accurate maintenance records, service logs, and equipment inspection reports.
• Assist with equipment setup, transportation preparation, and occasional field repairs as needed.

Small Engine Mechanic Qualifications:

• Wage depends on experience
• Previous experience working on small engines preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and fuel systems.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple repair tasks.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in both shop and outdoor environments.
